Vico Equense is the biggest town in the Sorrento peninsula, it extends from the sea, with the Seiano suburb, until the top of Mount Molare (1444m). The first historical date are from the seventh century BC thanks to the discovery of a necropolis. There are many Romans remains scattered along the territory. In the past it was a strategic link road between Positano and the villages of the Gulf of Naples. The vastness of the territory makes that the production of local products is very diverse, from citrus and oil until different kinds of cheese products. Vico is also famous for the beneficial proprieties of the thermal waters that naturally flow from the rock.
