Hiking route in the island of Capri, guided tour to visit the best spots
Conveniently guided tour, with a walk to discover the Roman villa of Tiberius and the more natural side of Capri, with marvelous views of the famous cliffs.
Departure from Piazza Umberto I Capri, the island’s famous blue square. Following via Sopramonte and then Via Tiberio you came to Villa Lysis, the sumptuous residence of Count and French poet Jacques d’Adelsward-Fersen. From here, take a short path until you get to Villa Jovis, a Roman villa which was the residence of Emperor Tiberius. The route continues along Via Moneta then head to the Natural Arch, a rock formation in the shape of arch overlooking the sea.
From here we head towards the Matermania cave, rocky hollow that was transformed into a nymph of the ancient Romans. We continue walking along the southwestern side of the island until he found himself in front of the stacks, the three large rocks that rise majestically into the sea of Marina Piccola. After arriving at Tragara terrace, we continue along Via Tragara and then off Candy, the famous shopping street in Capri. Finally it goes up along the street shops to return to Piazza Umberto I and conclude the ring.
