Here is the Monte Tre Calli, a pleasant excursion surmounting of Agerola the West Valley. The name comes from the three treetops that shape an obvious ridge with three lanes that follow each other in line. The course requires a good deal of work uphill, but certainly rewarded by the enchanting sight that appreciates reached the quota of 1100 meters.
Departure from Piazza Paolo Capasso in Bomerano fraction of Agerola. Take the small driveway from the square near the information panels leaving the Hotel Gentile on the right. Following the signs of CAI will begin the first steep slope with the stairs until you reach the crucifix on via Paipo. Here you leave the paved road and continue uphill leaving the crucifix behind. Walking through the characteristic Mediterranean scrub and stands of oak and chestnut then you reach the mountain Paipo, the first of the Three Calli, where you can enjoy the view over the entire coast, from Positano to Capri, and on the plateau of the village of Agerola .
Continue on the ridge until you reach “Cape Wall”, symbolized by its “Mushroom Rock”, pleasant resting place at the foot of the mountain massif of Monte Sant’Angelo a Tre Pizzi. From this point you continue versa left, going down a Pietraio, until reaching a forest track after 700 meters it becomes driveway. Continue the drive way up to the crucified and from there follow the road back to return to the starting point.
Great to go at dawn summer to its exposure to the east, and enjoy the quiet that only the mountains can give.
